Greetings!
Last week I was part of the launch of a new project: to create the pilot episode of an animated sitcom: Jazz Cow.
Jazz Cow is a series about a Jazz-playing cow who reluctantly leads a group of musicians, poets and misfits in resisting algorithms and fake filters.
It’s been 22 years in the making so far, and it’s only gotten more and more relevant to our times. And let’s face it: we need more original, all-ages series that the whole family can sit down and enjoy together.
My good friend John Lumgair and James Cary have brought together a top tier team to bring this to life, who between them have worked for Netflix, Disney, the BBC and Amazon, and on shows like Miranda, Shaun the Sheep, Rick and Morty and Adventure Time, among others. And that’s without the musical talent from the world of Jazz.
They’re looking to fund a finished pilot episode, to prove the idea and pave the way for a series. It’s very exciting, but animation isn’t cheap; it’s incredibly time consuming and takes a lot of hard work and talent to make it good.
Hence the Kickstarter platform: supporters pledge financial support in return for making the projects they love with extra rewards on top of that. If the project doesn't meet it’s financial goal in a set time period, no one pays: if it meets the goal, the project goes ahead, and you get to see projects you love come to life.
So if I may ask, would you like to help support them? They’re currently 40% funded with 20 days to go, which is brilliant. But they’re not there yet. Please share the Kickstarter with people you know too. If you’d rather not that’s OK; we’re just spreading the word to give it the best shot possible.

Until next time…
